HAOMEI Aluminum, with over 20 years of production experience, is a leading manufacturer of aluminum circles. We supply various sizes of 1050 HO aluminum circles, with thickness up to 8 mm and diameter up to 1500 mm, customizable according to your requirements. Our aluminum circles feature smooth surfaces without scratches, pits, or oil stains, ensuring excellent surface quality. They provide superior drawing and spinning performance, outstanding anodizing results, and excellent deep drawing quality. In addition, we focus on packaging by offering strong, moisture-proof solutions.

The 1050 aluminum circle is an industrial pure aluminum circle with a purity of at least 99.5%. As one of the most widely used aluminum alloys on the market, it is also relatively economical. 1050 aluminum circle discs feature smooth surfaces, high flexibility, excellent corrosion resistance, and good thermal conductivity. Anodized aluminum discs hardly discolor, making them widely used in cookware and kitchenware as well as in the lighting industry.

Meaning of "HO"

In aluminum alloy temper designations, the letter "H" refers to strain hardening, and the following number indicates the specific strain hardening and aging condition. "HO" generally represents the fully annealed condition or "soft temper." This means the material has undergone annealing treatment to achieve maximum ductility and formability, but at the lowest strength.

The 1050 HO aluminum circle, being fully annealed, offers excellent elongation and plasticity, making it ideal for deep drawing, spinning, stretching, and other complex forming processes.

Tensile strength60-100 MPa
Yield strength15-35 MPa
Elongation≥30% (for thickness ≤1 mm)
HardnessBrinell 20-30 HB
The 1050 HO aluminum circle offers outstanding plasticity and can be easily formed into complex shapes under low-load conditions.

Physical Properties

Density2.71 g/cm³
Thermal conductivity≈237 W/(m·K)
Electrical conductivity≥61% IACS
Thermal expansion coefficient23.6 μm/(m·K)
Melting point≈660 ℃
Thanks to these properties, 1050 HO aluminum circles perform excellently in applications requiring thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity, and resistance to low temperatures.

Product Advantages

  1. Excellent Formability: In HO (annealed) temper, the material is soft and highly ductile (elongation 35%-38%), making it ideal for deep drawing, spinning, and other cold-working processes.

  2. Good Corrosion Resistance: Pure aluminum easily forms a dense oxide film, and the high aluminum content of 1050 enhances corrosion resistance, suitable for cookware and outdoor signage.

  3. Superior Thermal & Electrical Conductivity: Rapid and even heat transfer makes it an excellent choice for cookware manufacturing.

  4. High Surface Quality: Smooth, flat surfaces allow easy polishing, anodizing, and further surface treatment.

  5. Cost-Effective: As a pure aluminum alloy, 1050 circles offer a lower-cost solution while maintaining excellent processability.

  6. Additional Features: Lightweight (low density), non-magnetic, and high reflectivity (suitable for lighting reflectors).

Applications

  • Cookware: Widely used in pots, pans, kettles, and other kitchen utensils.

  • Lighting & Reflectors: Ideal for lampshades and reflectors.

  • Signs & Decoration: Suitable for billboards, traffic signs, nameplates, and decorative items.

  • Other Uses: Electrical components, cosmetic containers, bottle caps, etc.

1050 Aluminum Circles CC / DC Production Processes

1050 DC (Direct Casting, hot rolled) Circles

DC aluminum plates undergo multiple rolling and annealing steps, resulting in uniform and fine grain structure, high surface quality, and superior ductility. These are particularly suitable for products requiring extreme deep drawing performance, such as high-end cookware and complex-shaped lighting reflectors.

1050 CC (Continuous Casting, cold rolled) Circles

CC aluminum plates have finer grains but relatively less uniform microstructure, with occasional defects that may affect deep drawing. During extreme stretching, slight “earing” or irregular edges may appear. However, due to the continuous casting and rolling process, production efficiency is high, and cost is lower, making them suitable for less demanding applications such as general cookware, bottle caps, and signage.

Surface Treatment Options for 1050 Aluminum Circles

Polishing: Mechanical or chemical polishing produces smooth, mirror-like surfaces, often used in premium cookware or decorative items.

Anodizing: Forms a dense, hard oxide layer that improves corrosion and wear resistance. It also enables coloring, making it ideal for colorful lampshades and tableware.

Coating: Electrostatic or liquid coatings apply protective or decorative layers. For cookware, non-stick coatings are essential for usability and cleaning convenience.

Brushing: Produces uniform fine lines for a matte metallic finish, hiding minor scratches and enhancing the modern look of appliances and decorative parts.

Comparison with Other Aluminum Alloys

Versus 3003 Aluminum Circles: Although 3003 has higher strength, its deep drawing ability is inferior to 1050. For applications requiring extreme stretching into thin, deep shapes (e.g., cookware), 1050 is a better choice to prevent cracking.

Versus 5052 Aluminum Circles: 5052 provides higher strength and better corrosion resistance, ideal for marine or high-stress environments. However, it is more expensive and less formable than 1050. For general cookware and lighting applications, 1050 offers superior cost-effectiveness and processing ease.
