1050 aluminum circles and 1060 aluminum circles are widely selected for applications requiring high aluminum content, good corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and forming performance. In O temper, these grades are suitable for cookware components, lighting parts, and general deep-drawn products. Their relatively soft condition supports forming while maintaining a clean surface for downstream finishing.
3003 aluminum discs offer higher strength than pure aluminum grades because of their manganese content. They are frequently used in cookware, lampshades, industrial covers, and formed parts that require improved strength with good workability. When using protective film on 3003 aluminum circles, adhesive selection is important to avoid residue after film removal, particularly where parts will be painted or anodized.
For applications that require enhanced corrosion resistance and moderate strength, 5052 aluminum circles can be considered. This alloy is used in selected marine-adjacent, industrial, and structural applications. Its forming suitability depends on temper, thickness, part geometry, and drawing ratio.
Protective film is not a one-specification solution. The appropriate film depends on the final fabrication and surface requirements. We discuss the following points with customers before production:
For many general applications, low-tack PE film is suitable for protecting mill-finish aluminum surfaces during transportation and conventional handling. Where stronger retention is necessary, medium-tack film may be evaluated. However, excessive adhesion can increase the risk of difficult removal, especially after prolonged storage or elevated-temperature exposure. We therefore recommend confirming the protection method through sample approval when the final part has a cosmetic surface requirement.
The term scratch-free refers to the controlled condition of the material at the time of inspection and packing. Because handling conditions after delivery are outside our factory process, customers should maintain suitable unloading, storage, and fabrication procedures to preserve the protected surface.
Our quality control process focuses on the characteristics that influence downstream production efficiency. For large-diameter aluminum circles, this includes thickness consistency, roundness, edge condition, flatness, material temper, and visible surface condition.
We inspect circles using calibrated measuring tools and defined sampling procedures. Diameter and thickness are checked according to the agreed specification. Surface inspection is conducted before protective film application so that defects are not concealed by the film. We also verify that the protective layer is applied evenly, without major bubbles, folds, loose edges, or exposed areas that could compromise protection during shipment.
For customers using automatic feeding, spinning lathes, hydraulic presses, or deep drawing equipment, consistency between batches is important. We maintain production records to support material traceability and help customers manage qualification requirements for recurring orders.

Correct packaging is essential for scratch-free aluminum discs. Large circles are usually packed in a manner that limits shifting during handling and transportation. Depending on diameter, thickness, quantity, and destination, we may use interleaving materials, moisture-resistant wrapping, protective corner materials, reinforced wooden pallets, and secure external strapping.
Where film-protected surfaces are required, we take care to avoid concentrated pressure that may mark the top sheets. Pallet design and stack height are adjusted according to disc dimensions and weight. Export packing can also be prepared for container shipment, warehouse storage, and repeated material handling at the customer's facility.
Customers should store aluminum circles in a dry, clean, temperature-stable environment. The material should be protected from standing water, corrosive chemicals, dust accumulation, and severe temperature changes. Protective film should generally be removed before final surface treatment and within the agreed storage period.
