Pre-painted 3003 aluminum circles have rapidly become a popular material in the cookware and lighting manufacturing industries due to their pre-applied coating, excellent formability, corrosion resistance, and aesthetic appeal.
3003 aluminum circles are among the most commonly used products in the aluminum-manganese alloy series. They offer approximately 10% higher strength compared to standard 1060 aluminum circles. With manganese content, they are often referred to as rust-resistant aluminum sheets. The tensile strength can reach 120-160 MPa, and the conditional yield strength is no less than 85 MPa.
Compared with other aluminum materials, 3003 aluminum circles in the annealed condition have high plasticity, while semi-cold work hardening maintains moderate plasticity, and full cold work hardening reduces plasticity.

High Corrosion Resistance
Combined with the natural rust resistance of 3003 alloy and protective coating, these aluminum circles can withstand kitchen oil, humidity, and general acidic or alkaline environments for long-term use.
High Adhesion and Wear Resistance
Multi-layer coating (primer + color coat + protective layer) enhances the bond between coating and substrate. Hardness reaches 2H-3H, improving scratch and impact resistance.
Color Stability and Decorative Appeal
High color uniformity (ΔE<2) allows for glossy, matte, metallic brushed, wood grain, and stone grain effects, meeting high-end brand appearance requirements.
Good Thermal Conductivity
Ensures fast and uniform heat transfer in cookware and baking molds, enhancing user experience.
High Reflectivity
Reflectivity up to 85-95%, lightweight and easy to install. Coating provides weather resistance and decorative appearance.
Cost-Effective
Compared with higher-grade aluminum-magnesium alloys, 3003 provides excellent overall cost performance, making it ideal for mass production of coated aluminum circles.
Environmentally Friendly
100% recyclable, non-toxic, and odorless.
Pre-painted aluminum circles are produced through a continuous, automated coil pre-painting process:
Select 3003 aluminum coil substrate (H12/H14/H16/H18/O)
Degreasing, cleaning, and chemical treatment
Precision double-roll coating (uniform thickness)
High-temperature curing to ensure coating adhesion
Cooling and leveling of coated coil
Die stamping into circles
Protective packaging
Pre-roll coating offers significant advantages over traditional spray coating: it ensures a smoother surface for color-coated aluminum discs, free of color differences and dust particles, making the surface less prone to contamination and easier to clean.
Furthermore, pre-coated products exhibit better adhesion, abrasion resistance, smaller film thickness errors, and lower processing costs.
3003 pre-coated aluminum discs are mainly divided into two categories based on the coating material: polyester coating (PE) and fluorocarbon coating (PVDF).
Polyester coating (PE) is a UV-resistant coating that imparts rich colors to aluminum products and offers excellent smoothness, a high degree of detail, and a pleasant tactile feel.
PE-coated 3003 aluminum discs are primarily suitable for interior decoration and advertising displays. It uses high-molecular polymers containing ester bonds in the carbon chain as monomers, with the addition of synthetic resins to enhance texture and detail.
Fluorocarbon coating (PVDF) is a coating primarily composed of PVDF resin (polyvinylidene fluoride homopolymer or copolymer of polyvinylidene fluoride with other small amounts of fluorinated vinyl monomers).
Especially in harsh climates and environments, fluorocarbon coatings exhibit long-term resistance to fading and UV radiation.
PVDF-coated 3003 aluminum discs are ideal for indoor and outdoor decoration in public places, as well as for decoration and display in commercial chains, exhibitions, and advertising. PVDF coatings are typically thicker than 25 micrometers and offer excellent impact resistance (no cracking or peeling).
